Please use the tables below for a description of the content of each file.

Environmental Data: Sensors

On this page you will find the environmental data from past deployments. Both the meteorological and the monitoring data are available for download. Each text file located in one of the archives bellow contains columns of delimited data from each SensorScope station that was deployed. Each archive also contains a text file which defines those columns. The entry NaN designates unavailable data.

The MD5 hash can be used to check the integrity of each file (learn more).

Plaine Morte Deployment

During winter 2007, a small SensorScope network was deployed on the Plaine Morte glacier for a 5 day campaign. The Plaine Morte glacier is located at 2750 m in the canton of Berne in Switzerland and is one of the largest flat-glaciers in the Alps. It extends for about 10 km2 and is located in the Wildstrubel range.

LUCE Deployment

The LUCE (Lausanne Urban Canopy Experiment) is a measurement campaign which took place on the EPFLcampus since July 2006. This experiment aimed at better understanding micrometeorology and atmospheric transport in the urban environment. It required high temporal and spatial density measures in order to cover the heterogeneous areas.

Environmental Data: Images

On this page you will find the photos and videos that were taken on some of our deployment sites with our Vidicam. The Vidicam is a GPRS-enabled camera, powered by a Qtopia Greenphone, that is programmed to send a photo every 30 min. It gives us a visual information in addition to our meteorological measurements. The camera is currently installed on the deployment site of Seedorf. You can view the latest photo and yesterday’s images from this page.
